Now that all of the conferences have held their respective media days, chosen their preseason favorites and all conference teams, the HBCU football season is set to begin in just a few short weeks.
Many of the teams that finished in the final Black College National Championship rankings at the end of 2017 find themselves being placed in the 2018 preseason power rankings!
The North Carolina A&T Aggies are considered almost a unanimous favorite to repeat, not only as MEAC conference champions, but as the 2018 Black College National Champions as well. Grambling State, Alcorn State, Howard and Bethune Cookman round out the top 5 HBCUs in the BCNC major poll.
On the mid major side, The Bowie State Bulldogs are projected as the top team with Virginia State, Albany State, Tuskegee and Miles rounding out the top 5
